Colick Adapting “Three Little Words”

Lewis Colick (“October Sky,” “Ladder 49”) is set to pen the adaptation of Ashley Rhodes-Courter’s memoir “Three Little Words” for Tree Line Film and Lime Orchard Productions reports Variety.

The story details the nine-year period in Rhodes-Courter’s life from ages four to thirteen which she spend in the foster care system. In that time she had “more than a dozen so-called mothers” and faced abuse from various hands.

James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, Jami Gertz and Stacey Lubliner are all set to produce with Mangold (“3:10 to Yuma”) slated to direct, likely once he wraps work on Tom Cruise starrer “Knight and Day”.
