Gyllenhaal Sifts Through “Source Code”

Jake Gyllenhaal is in negotiations to join the sci-fi thriller “Source Code” for Vendome Pictures, The Mark Gordon Co. and Summit Entertainment reports Variety.

The story centers on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.

“Moon” helmer Duncan Jones will direct the project as his next film, putting his Berlin-based sci-fi film “Mute” on hold for now. Shooting kicks off first quarter of next year.

Mark Gordon, Philippe Rousselet and Jordan Wynn will produce.
