EW reports that ABC has officially picked up the Nathan Fillion-led mystery dramedy “Castle” for a full 22-episode second season. The show has retained a good portion of its “Dancing with the Stars” lead-in so the ordering of a further nine episodes is no big surprise.
Over on NBC “The Jay Leno Show” is floundering says THR Feed, the show having hit its lowest ratings yet and actually getting beaten this week by cable network FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” on Tuesday whose 18-49 demo rating of 2.05 stomped on Leno’s 1.8.
EW reports that Fox has pulled Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” off the schedule during November sweeps. The series will return in December and burn off its remaining episodes by screening them back-to-back on Friday night.
A spokesman for Hulu.com owner News. Corp says the popular TV programming site will start charging users for content as early as 2010 according to TV Week. While not all content on Hulu would be behind a pay wall, the move to a subscription model is moving quicker than many anticipated.
