Blood Diamond

African men from vastly different backgrounds unite for a common goal.

Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio) is an ex mercenary who finds himself teamed up with Solomon, (Djimon Hounsou), in an effort to locate a valuable and rare pink diamond that Solomon has taken and hidden.

Since Solomon was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond trade, the two unlikely partners form up to venture into some of the most dangerous parts of Africa to recover the diamond.

When journalist Maddy Bowen (Jennifer Connely), joins the team to learn from Archer how the diamonds that are collected through brutality and death make their way to American markets, Archer finds himself walking a thin line between doing the right thing and his greed for the diamond they seek.

Packed with brutal action, vibrant social commentary and an amazing cast, Blood Diamond is not to be missed.
